Here they are- just a Trio but a quality Bluegrass act.
- Ulrich Sieker -fiddle, mandolin, guitar, vocals
- Matthias Malcher -guitar, banjo, vocals and
- Ralf Strotmann -bass, vocals
formed their project in 1996 after playing Bluegrass with the renowned Band “Groundspeed” all over Europe and in the USA for about two decades.
With Groundspeed they brought over Bill Monroe and the Osborne Bros. to Europe and toured with Bluegrass Icons like Kenny Baker, Josh Graves, Dan Crary and others.
The Looping Brothers play typical Bluegrass instruments like fiddle and banjo, mandolin and guitar with a great selection of traditional songs as well as original material. Competent picking is combined with tasteful harmony singing. A concert with the Looping Brothers will get you in the atmospheric mood of authentic American Mountain Music and then suddenly shock you with the essences of dry Westphalian humor. Right now the trio is reaching out for an even wider audience, playing major festivals and successfully helping the interest in Bluegrass Music in the Old World grow.
The Looping Brothers play music in the tradition of the old Brother-Duets as well as Bluegrass tunes.
They are currently working on their second CD.
